A rare opportunity to own a substantial, traditionally built 46-foot wooden fishing vessel with a proven working-boat heritage.
M/V Sundance 2 is a 46-foot (14.0 m) former commercial fishing vessel, built in Burnaby, BC in 1965 by Eddie Snitchuk and Edward D. Peniuk. She features traditional smooth carvel wood-plank construction, a robust timber frame, and the character and working layout of a classic West Coast fishing boat.
She was surveyed in June 2025 while hauled out at Shelter Island Marina in Richmond, BC. At that time, she was hauled out, painted and caulked, and received new batteries and an oil change. The vessel is being offered with the 2025 survey available to prospective buyers.

TRADITIONAL WEST COAST CONSTRUCTION
Sundance 2 was built with the rugged construction associated with traditional West Coast wooden fishing vessels. Her hull consists of caulked and painted smooth Yellow Cedar carvel planking over bent oak frames, with a substantial Douglas Fir stacked-timber stern.
The vessel features a long straight keel, slightly raked and flared bow, rounded bilge, keel-shoe-supported rudder and Bat Wing roll dampers.
The decks are constructed of caulked smooth Yellow Cedar carvel planking over transverse timber deck beams and carlins.

Sundance 2 is an older traditional wooden vessel and is being sold with the understanding that she will require additional work.
Some woodwork is required in the stern. Prospective buyers are encouraged to review the available 2025 survey and conduct their own inspections and due diligence before purchase.
The June 28, 2025 survey by David Wood Maritime Surveyors was conducted while the vessel was dry docked at Shelter Island Marina, Richmond, BC. The survey was commissioned for insurance purposes, including an examination of the overall condition of the hull, machinery and equipment and an estimate of current fair market value.
The survey is available to serious prospective buyers upon request.
