A Bill Garden designed trawler. Built in the hay day of salmon fishing. Green Seas was built the traditional west coast way with local materials. Like many boats her age she suffered from bulwark decay. Fresh water rolls off the deck and into the paint broken stanchion. This would start the decay and with the help of gravity the rot continued downward. Typically on these types of boats the stanchions are an extension of the frames, therefore rotting out the frame heads. Green Seas also had similar decay in the transom and transom framing.
