Shafts & Props:
All boats undergo a thorough check on the state of the shaft and propeller. Using a dial indicator as well as measuring for balance is essential for both the performance of the boat and long life of the bearings. We replace or repair driving components of boats up to 60 feet.
With every haul-out we check props for balance and soundness and dial shafts for straightness. The turnaround on props and shafts is fast. Most can be straightened or built within a couple of days. Props can be straightened or replaced in short order as well.
We build and repair rudders, struts and rudder stocks as needed.
