Calamari is boathouse kept classic yacht. The owners tell us that the boat was burnt to the waterline when she was a fishboat. Then rebuilt as the yacht she is today. Our project on Calamari was long. She was one of those boats that just kept coming up with surprises. The entire interior had to be removed to access the structure for repair. We put in a new keel aft of the engine, new stringers, garboards, stem sheathing, rails, self-draining cockpit and water tanks. The shaft and rudder were also buiolt new. The final result was stunning. She is a real showboat now. |
