GO TO PRICING / GO TO THE PROCESS
What to expect
If your boat is in for repairs of some kind or another, be prepared for the unexpected. Your boat may be hiding signs of unnoticed decay. Through our experience, we can detect areas of decay or deterioration that may have gone unnoticed for many years.
Destructive Survey
When dismantling boats for repairs, we come across more damage than initially expected. Because we can only see one surface at a time, we are limited in knowing how extensive the repair will be. For example, while replacing a deck on a fish boat the core of all deckbeams were rotten from water leaking through the fasteners. Now to replace some decking, we would need to replace deckbeams. At that point the project doubled in size. There was no way of detecting this until we could see the hidden surface. Not all projects turn out this way, but you must be prepared for all possibilities before starting the project.
Re-building
The best part of the project is where the deconstruction ends and the construction begins. We take a no nonsense approach to repairs. The job is not complete unless it is repaired better than its pre-repair state. Using a combination of traditional and modern techniques, we build to last. It is important to us that your investment into your boat holds its value. |
