King Cyrus

King Cyrus

Built in British Hong Kong in 1967 of teak and gumwood, the "King Cyrus" is perfect for sailing or simply living in on weekends or year round. With plenty of storage space and easy room for four, you can cruise in classic style on the inside or even up to Alaska -- who knows?

The hull itself is rock-solid mahogany with a days-old double coat of anti-fouling paint and perfect caulking. The decks and trim are teak and the rails are of solid gum with plenty of classic brass. The motor was overhauled in 2005 and has seen only 200 hours since, so there's plenty of trouble free putting around left while you learn to sail (or if you're just feeling lazy).

The "King Cyrus" is presently moored in Ladysmith harbour and is fully self contained. It is only ten minutes from the airport and twenty minutes from the ferry. It's also a heck of a lot cheaper than buying land on the Gulf Islands, and the moorage is good and protected from the elements. Get out of Calgary on Friday afternoon and be sailing by the evening! Work in camp and spend days off on your own ketch.

Please contact us for more information. The asking price is $40,000 but we are amenable to dealing, as we're looking to buy a house in Vancouver. Ask for Collin or Vineeta.
